SOLSC 2022 #9 - tender touches of yellow

It is March 2022 and time for the
Every single day, for all thirty-one days of March,
writers will share stories.
Thank you, Two Writing Teachers, for creating this supportive community
of teacher-writers!

A cold and rainy day today.
Some might say, a great day for worms.
I say, a great day for photos.

Outside, we find

tender touches of yellow everywhere

the golden hues of spring

even the evergreens offer a saffron sparkle

trees are flowering with lemon kisses

 bright sunshine sparkles through branches

there are buttery droplets everywhere

a world awash with floral genuflections

as all creation bends and hopes for better days to come

tender touches of yellow everywhere

  1. dMaureen, this is beautiful. Your words are magical. Thus could be a picture book. It’s so perfect. We had 3” of snow on the ground this morning. No spring. Lots of cold and shoveling.

  5. Ah, your beautiful photos! When I saw the first photo, I thought you might just stay inside and enjoy looking outdoors. But you all braved the cold! "Nature's first green is gold."
